1. Introduction

Welcome to Grafters Market. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Grafters Market website and platform. By registering an account as either a Homeowner or a Tradesperson ("Grafter"), you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Nature of the Platform

Grafters Market acts solely as an introductory marketplace connecting Homeowners seeking services with independent Tradespeople offering those services. We are not an employer, contractor, or agent of any Grafter. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the work performed, nor do we guarantee that Homeowners will proceed with a hire after receiving a quote.

3. User Accounts & Vetting

  • Homeowners: Must provide accurate contact information and genuine job descriptions. Creating fake jobs or "spamming" the platform is strictly prohibited.
  • Grafters: Must provide accurate business details. If offering regulated services (e.g., Gas Engineering, Electrical work), you must upload valid, up-to-date certificates (e.g., Gas Safe, NICEIC). Grafters Market reserves the right to suspend or reject profiles that fail our vetting process.

4. Fees, Credits, and Subscriptions

Browsing leads is free. To view Homeowner contact details, Grafters must pay an unlock fee using Wallet Credits or subscribe to a Premium Tier (Pro/Ultimate).

  • Wallet Credits: Credits are purchased via our secure payment gateway (Stripe) and have no cash value outside the platform. They are non-transferable.
  • Subscriptions: Premium plans auto-renew via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard, and you will retain access until the end of your billing cycle.

5. The Dispute Policy & Refunds

We understand that sometimes leads do not work out. We offer a refund mechanism for "unresponsive" leads under the following strict conditions:

  • Grafters have a 4-day window from the time of unlocking a lead to report the Homeowner as unresponsive.
  • Upon opening a dispute, the Homeowner is notified and given 48 hours to confirm the job is still active.
  • If the Homeowner confirms the job is active, the dispute is closed and no refund is issued. If they fail to respond within 48 hours, the credits are automatically refunded to the Grafter's wallet.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Grafters Market shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. Any contractual agreements regarding physical labor, quotes, or payments for trade services are strictly between the Homeowner and the Grafter.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to any account that violates these Terms, submits fraudulent documents, receives repeated negative reviews, or engages in abusive behavior toward other users or our staff.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
